something quilty

I have actually been sewing but I am not quite ready to show anything yet. So here is a shot of a friend's top. She is making it for her son's 18th birthday at the end of this month and is just beautiful.
What doesn't show up here is that she has five stars done in a lighter colour which are positioned like the Southern Cross ( like on the Australian Flag). What a special touch!

You have to show yor progress Bettsy! The star top is lovely - I've always wanted to make that pattern. How is the sewing going with your new sewing table? Is it making it easier?

I really like that style, and I am pleased you are having a dedicated sewing area, well done on the assembler! Tracey

Ms. Bettsy! Thank you for coming to visit me - I agree about the "great minds" part! I really like the bowties out of that fabric.
I have not had the privilege of visiting your blog. I certainly like what I see! I promise to come back and visit often.
Love the quilt top - I am always attracted to anything with stars. I think it shows off the fabrics so well.
Have a great day! Nan

What a lovely top. I've seen this done scrappy but really like the two colour effect.
